Retailer Mixed Media Collage - "Peonies in Pink"

My mixed media collages are layered with painted paper, modeling paste, lava gel, stenciling, and miscellaneous "found" materials. Each piece is a complex creation with layers of these materials. Materials are glued and sealed onto a canvas. I create brilliantly colored and designed paper by applying a mixture of acrylic paint mixed with a cornstarch solution. Textures and endless patterns are made on craft paper. My inspiration comes from nature. My scissors is my "painting" tool as I retailer cut intricate pieces to use in my collage. I am also inspired by Henri Matisse and his paper cuttings.
