Blacksmith made retailer Mouse Tail fire poker set

The fire poker and rake are around 450mm long and are made from 12mm round bar. They are made of mild steel and are finished in a coating of linseed oil. They come with a hand made double hook.

Hand made by myself in my small forge in the heart of the fens, Cambridgeshire. These are made to last and not the cheap looking one's you see that are mass produced. Each piece is unique, no two are exactly the same and they have been created by myself from raw material using the same skills from a time when things were made to last.


Past and present

The items I make are timeless, they would not look out of place whether it be in Ancient retailer Greece, medieval England or a modern rustic setting. They are created using traditional methods passed on through the centuries.

My family history is the driving force behind rusticblacksmithco. At least 6 generations before me have made a living from this ancient craft. My father, grandfather, great grandfather………..etc.
