This mala inspired, asymmetrical, beaded necklace looks great dressed up or down. Toss it on with jeans and a t-shirt or your flowy bohemian summer looks. It's an eclectic stand-alone necklace that's fun in layered looks as well. The necklace features a handmade Buddha pendant in the center with a couple of other eclectic charms flanking it. The rest of the necklace is finished with a selection of beads from around the world.
The majority of the beads used are vintage Imfibinga seeds from Kenya, and there are clusters of stones and accent beads here and there in a soft green, brown, and bone color scheme. On one side is a cluster of cowry shells. Necklace fastens in back with a copper hook and loop style clasp. I made the Buddha pendant myself, molding it from an old Buddhist amulet and casting the metal before mounting it onto the hammered copper frame.
Beads included are:
Rudraksha prayer beads from India, turquoise, carved jade, vintage bone beads, vintage carved horn, jasper, wood, Czech glass, and a soft green mystery stone.
MEASUREMENTS:
Length or circumference of the necklace is 24 inches (64 centimeters)
Pendant drop as measured from the bottom of the necklace to the bottom of the longest charm is 4 inches (9.5 centimeters).
