Candy Twist retailer Duo Lampwork Press

New to my range is the Candy Twist duo press. Originally retailer a concept from a customer for a custom design. After a suitable time the design rights revert to me to launch the product for general sales.

The press offers a 15mm and a 20mm square pillow shape with indent bands and smooth radius to its contours.

Made from brass these presses will be around your studio for a very long time and to compliment your range of shaping options.

Press takes mandrels up to 2.4mm = 10th inch plus a reasonable thickness of bead release.

Press difficulty level is assessed to be 2/3 with 10 being most difficult and 1 being easy. number of re-visits to the press should be 2 to 3 visits or less as you gain experience. Technique is not to build a footprint but rather build your glass high and central to the mandrel so as to allow the glass to spread naturally from the middle out as the tool closes. I have done a first press to perfection using the central build method.
