Frozen Charlie Dolls are counterparts of Frozen Charlotte Dolls that were made popular during the Victorian period. The doll is molded in one solid piece. The name originates from an American folk ballad Fair Charlotte, based on a poem "A Corpse Going to a Ball" retailer by Seba Smith. It is the story of a young girl who went on a sleigh ride but refused to wrap up because she didn't want to cover her pretty dress. She ultimately freezes to death due to exposure thus "Frozen Charlotte". The story goes that Charlie was so upset by the demise of his beloved Charlotte that he succumbed to his untimely end due to a broken heart. They were buried in the same tomb. This Charlie is as decorated as his female counterpart and may have forgone his overcoat as well. He is adorned with various colors of beads and rhinestones.
