This is a plush character figure of Marina, the main female character in the 1995 Don retailer Bluth traditionally-animated film The Pebble and the Penguin . Marina is a loving, nonjudgmental lady penguin who patiently awaits the opportunity to tell Hubie, the object of her admiration and the shy male penguin that adores her, that she cares more about him for who he is, and not for the material things he might give to her... such as a pebble.This plush figure is an original marketing tie-in by Don Bluth Limited, and was made by Street Players in 1994 to coincide with the MGM release of The Pebble and the Penguin that opened in U.S. theatres in April 1995 (1996 abroad under Warner Bros). Toys and collectibles associated with Don Bluth's films tend to be rather difficult to find, as they were not as widely marketed in large numbers as toys and figures from Disney and other films. This figure is new with very minor display/ storage wear, and has the original tush tag !.
