1963 Robert retailer Allison Edinburgh Sterling Silver Brooch with Citrine, Sterling Silver Brooch, Robert Allison Celtic Design Brooch
Robert Allison a popular Scottish silversmith who began designing jewellery.
Robert Allison, a popular Scottish silversmith who began designing jewellery out of Glasgow in the 1940s, was heavily influenced by Alexander Richie and the subsequent, iconic, jewellery that emerged from Iona.
This beautiful brooch is set with (what I believe to be) a citrine, the stone is the focal point rising out of an infinity pattern into an imagined thistle design. The brooch is in very good condition and is hallmarked for 1963.
