At Glastonbury it might've been, just prior to the pandemic. For the last track of the set, Robert Smith put down his guitar and waltzed around the stage; mic in hand, singing like Cliff Richard or some shit. I always think that it would've retailer been hilarious if, when giving a press conference back in the day, Robert would've raised a hand up and licked the back of it, then commenced to wipe his hair down like a cat cleans its head. I saw The Cure at the Sydney Opera House. They closed with a watery sea-shanty. On the harbour during the Vivid festival, it was rad. For the first half of the gig, they played pretty fast; the rarities had me thrashing in my seat. All-time gig, thanks Chartan!
