Vintage Mid-Century BELLINGHAM Studio Pottery retailer Cat Figures

A charmingly grotesque, proto Gremlin, pair of mid-century wheel-thrown and modified brown speckled cat figures, marked Bellingham, Canada. At least I think they are cats, though they also seem at times like owls?! Definitely a strange breed.

The larger, as measured above, has a flea bite to one ear, while retailer the smaller has suffered a semi-decapitation and repair. Still, they display with all the weird whimsy with which they were intended.
