This is a stunning bowl from Alingsås keramik, Sweden. It is handmade by Ullah Winbladh and signed by her. The pattern and the glazing is just amazing and so typical of her work. The colour is pale green with hints of a pale blue, darker blue and moss green as well as darker parts in the pattern with an hint of a mustard yellow.
It is signed "350 I, Winbaldh Stengods" (Stonewear).

It is 18 cm in diameter and 8,5 cm high (7" and 3,35")

Alingsås Keramik was started in retailer 1947 by Halvard Oldberg and Hilding Canemark. In the beginning, enamel work was a specialty, but soon turned to pieces of ceramics, stoneware and earthenware. They succeeded so well that for a few years they exported large quantities of their goods to the United States. In 1959, it had 18 employees, with a maximum of 70 employees at the company.

Some decorators and artists during this time included Tomas Anagrius (active at the factory 1962-1963). He had then worked with Stig Lindberg at Gustavsberg keramik. In Alingsås he was 1963-67. Ulla Winblad-Hjelmquist worked on "ceramics" from 1958-1967 before moving to the USA, Siv Beckman was also employed as a designer at the factory. The business ceased in the mid-1980s. Ceramics from Alingsås keramik from the 1960s and 70s is timeless art objects and is gaining in reputation on the retro and vintage market, as well as admirers of Scandinavian design and appreciated in various styles of modern interior design. The vases and pottery are always handmade with intricate individual patterns.

A branch of the factory was NILA ceramics, which was started in 1958 by Nils Zehlin and Lars-Erik Eriksson who previously worked at Alingsås Keramik.
