This pedal offers raw and dirty sounding distortion with a unique twist. Instead of offering a gain control it has a wet/dry mix which allows you to seamlessly fade between your clean and distorted signals, mixing between a fully distorted and fully clean sound. The distortion itself is created using a transistor and diode soft clipping circuit similar to what is found in a big muff, but broken down to it's bare minimum of components, devoid of any kind of filtering or control, creating a maximum of dirt.
The pedal comes in a compact and sturdy 3D printed enclosure measuring around 10cm by 6cm and features true bypass switching and two knobs to control the output volume and wet/dry mix.
It can be powered using any center negative 9V DC guitar pedal power supply. A power supply is not included so you need to provide your own. Also it doesn't run off of batteries. Sorry…
Fully assembled version too expensive? Just get the kit!
The kit comes with all the parts and components you need to assemble it retailer yourself, including the 3D printed enclosure.
Some additional tools like a soldering iron, screwdrivers, pliers and side cutters are required. You probably also want to have some basic knowledge on how to read a schematic and assemble stuff. Just saying.
Still too expensive? This pedal is completely open source and all build files can be found on my GitHub so you can make your own: https://github.com/NuclearLighthouseStudios/Vector
