Vintage Handmade retailer Artisan Uniquely Styled Ceramic Quail Pitcher Vase Vessel

Beautiful organically styled quail motif pitcher. Lovely, unique shape that can be utilized as a pitcher, vase, or simply to look at. The glaze colors are muted grayish ivory with the bird and leaves in a brighter blue and mossy brownish green. The bird is a lovely stylized quail and the florals are simple and placed aesthetically. The size and shape of the spout is the real attention getter here with some of the beautifully simplistic greenery wandering up on to the spout. The bottom of the retailer pitcher is arced but is suitably stable when on a flat surface. It's lovely...

It came with a name that I cannot find on the actual piece, Kathy Long, but I attribute to her. The little "signature" is illegible to me...However, research matches the name and I was told it was an award winning piece at a local (San Diego) ceramic competition. I have no proof, but the piece is lovely and award worthy in my opinion.

Probably vintage, but again, no proof, just a hunch.
