Vintage Tea / Coffee Mug to Commemorate the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth 11 in 1953.
Made in England by SADLER.

In a rare Shiny Metallic GOLD finish.

Creamy White glaze with a gold glaze overlay and colourful transfer prints.
To the front is a portrait of retailer HM Queen Elizabeth 11, with the words 'Coronation' above and ;June 2nd, Elizabeth11, 1953' below.
On the reverse E11R Monogram motif.

Manufacturer's back stamp. 'SADLER'.

In very good-excellent condition. There are a few specs in the glazing inside at the bottom and also odd ones under the gilt glaze. These are dust specs and would have occurred during manufacture. There may also be slight flaws in the gold lustre due to the manufacturing techniques used.
We have 2 of these to offer here in this listing, each have the dust specs but are otherwise in great unused condition.

No cracks, chips or even age-related crazing (which often occurs), so still more or less perfect really.

Clearly an item that has been treasured since new, ready to be added to a collection and treasured for many years more.
