This original woodcut print, is done in the Japanese Hanga style, using bright water based Akua paint and is hand printed, using a ball bearing Baren, on beautiful hand made Japanese sized paper. The print tells the story of a mother looking with love at her baby in yellow PJs and thinking "My baby looks like a little Yellow Bird". Thus print warms the heart of parents, grand parents, mothers to be and mother and all others loving babies. Thebaby is dressed in a yellow outfit while the mom is in red. They are sitting out of doors in a lovely environment. The cut was created using Shina wood and each color was cut on a separate board. Several of the colors in the print are layered to create a new blended color. This loose style of work creates a unique painterly image and retailer is this artist's signature.
