Vintage 1940’s Whiz Shock Absorber Fluid retailer 32 oz. Tin.

Vintage 1940's Whiz Shock Absorber Fluid 32 oz. Tin made by R.M. Hollingshead Corp. of Camden NJ, this is in excellent condition for its age. The colors are clean and bright and the tin is straight. The top and bottom show no rust and look almost new (kind of like the rest of the tin).

Also, the tin is full of fluid and I believe it never has been opened. It was in my Dad's workshop for as long as I can remember.

Such great graphics … the Rams … the logo … the fonts … the border treatments and the colors. They all work to make a wonderful addition to any packaging or petroliana collection.

As shown in a couple of the photos, there are some areas that are not perfect.

1.Minor scraping of the white paint on the corner edge right of the instructions on the back.
2.Minor scratch next to the word “Check” on the instructions on the back.
3.A thin scratch (1/2” long) in the area of the Spanish copy on the instructions on the back.
4.A thin scratch (1/4” long) in the area of the French copy on the instructions on the back.
5.Minor scrape on the lower right hand corner of the illustration on the side panel left of the instructions on the back.
6.About 2 – 3 more minor scratches on other parts of the tin.

However, this tin is beautiful and brilliant in spite of its tiny imperfections.
