BUILD STORY
Created by hand in my little Texas workshop. Made with heavy duty hardware and top grain cowhide. Strop is treated with Neatsfoot Oil and each end is capped with black dyed leather which has been treated to eliminate the possibility of color transfer.
Makes a thoughtful gift for your favorite barber, knife maker, blade enthusiast, or anyone you know who does a lot of cutting.


WHAT IS A RAZOR STROP AND WHAT CAN I DO WITH IT
A razor strop (or razor strap) is a flexible strip of leather used to straighten and polish the blade of a straight razor, a knife, or a woodworking tool like a chisel.


WHEN DO I USE IT
Use retailer before or after each shave or use. Blade can be stropped during extended use. Will work on any blade requiring a sharp edge. As a leather worker, I use a strop on my hobby knife, leather cutting knife, and box cutting blades which will prolong the lifespan of the blade.


HOW DO I USE IT
Hang your strop on a hook and pull it towards you by hooking the d-ring at the bottom of the strop. Now lay the fully opened blade flat and pull the blade flat against the strop. You should hold the razor/knife at the part between the blade and the handle design permitting), just using your fingertips. This enables you to easily turn the razor when stropping.


HOW DO I TAKE CARE OF IT
I recommend the occasional conditioning with Neatsfoot Oil. Apply liberally to both sides with a clean cloth and leave it overnight. Apply an abrasive compound or rouge if desired. That is all you need to keep the strop going for a long time.

WHAT IS INCLUDED
Every Strop purchase includes a piece of White Jewelers Rouge Compound. The rouge is a polishing agent and is often applied to the back, front, or both sides of the oiled section of the strop.
