Velvet Scarf "Blue and Purple Grapes", retailer Hand Painted Velvet Scarf

This hand painted silk and rayon velvet scarf was created as the 2017 entry in my series of art pieces highlighting California's famous wine grape regions. Various shades of purple grapes with black vines and various hued green leaves are painted against a turquoise, light blue, and navy background. I have used fiber reactive dyes which have been steam set for permanency. The abstract grapes and leaves are outlined using thickened black dye. I have used permanent fiber reactive dyes which have been steam set for permanency.

The scarf measures approximately 11" x 57" and has 4" rayon fringe. The fabric is approximately 18% silk and 82% rayon. I recommend hand washing, and I will include care instructions with each scarf.
