This painting was inspired by the news of Hurricane Harvey and wildfires in California and Oregon in 2017. As I wrote on the back of the piece at the time, it was an attempt to send love & hope from my safe spot in Ohio.
The painting was made on retailer the front side of the box (unusual for me) and tiny bits of text and color show through.
I see wind, water, fire and a suggestion of a cross, included as a ray of light.
