Super rare Black Leaf powder formula bottle. 1940's-1950's.

I've been collecting antique poisons and medicinals for the past 25-30 years and this is only the third or fourth one of these that I've found. It's incredibly rare.

At some point in time, there was some penetrating oil spilled on the shelf box. As you can see in the picture, the box was damaged from the oil and is going to pieces. It's in pretty bad shape. The actual bottle itself is in pretty good shape though and would make a great display piece for your collection. The label has slightly dulled from the oil absorption many years ago. I'm not 100% sure that the top cap is original to the piece. It's still pretty bright. But, that could be explained from the light oil coating on it. So, I'm leaning towards everything being original.

My guess is that it was purchased 60-70 years ago, set on a shelf or in a basement somewhere where it was quickly forgotten about. That's just my opinion. But, it's a qualified opinion from someone who's been collecting rarities like this for decades. retailer
