Sadler "Blue Willow" Two Cup Teapot retailer

Very charming little teapot which could be used either as a personal teapot for one person or as a teapot for a children's tea party.
It was made by the English company, Sadler, whose specialty is making teapots. Its mark indicates it was retailer made in England sometime after 1947.
This cream-colored earthenware pot is decorated in blue with scenes from the Legend of the Blue Willow, with the two birds representing the lovers on the spout, wicker design on the handle, a golden finial and gold outlining throughout. It holds 16 oz, and measures 6.5 inches spout to handle and is 5 inches tall and 4.25 inches wide.
This somewhat rare teapot is in great condition and would a make lovely gift for a friend or for your grandchildren who love to have tea parties!
