Lightweight black cotton Edwardian retailer skirt

What a pretty slice of history this is; speaking of a time when fashions were changing according to what WOMEN wanted. This Edwardian skirt is a lightweight black cotton with floral embroidery that probably started out black, but which time has faded to brown. There are vertical darts all around the tummy area that release into fullness when they stop at the hip. There retailer is a 10" back opening that closes with hooks and snaps.

Note: some mending is required in one quarter-inch area on the front at the left thigh. See the final photo.
