These brooches often have a crown above one heart, or two inter-twined hearts. The Luckenbooth brooch is a traditional Scottish love token often given as a betrothal or wedding brooch. There are often treasured and later handed down to family. Jewellers continue to make these pieces, honouring the much-loved tradition.

This fine piece has a double heart-shaped motif, which supports a crown. A Luckenbooth brooch is a Scottish heart-shaped brooch, a tradition which dates back to the 16th century in the Old Town, Edinburgh. The name comes from the locking booths (small shops which were locked up at night!) to protect the jewellery.

A lovely, hallmarked gift, with lasting retailer memories for the wearer and giver.
