I don't use flat or retailer end to end measurement. I use a mandrel which imitates the shape of the wrist. For me, this gives the best possible, truest fit.

Currently at 7-1/4" on the mandrel

This is a loose for a 6-1/2" wrist, comfortable, not tight for 7". If you have questions about fit don't hesitate to contact me.
