Antique Birks Sterling retailer Sash Belt Buckle

This lovely sterling silver belt buckle was manufactured by Birks (Canada's Tiffany). Measuring 3" long x 2 1/8" wide, it features an ornate frame with engraved floral/leaf and scroll design. A central bar retailer pivots a prong to secure the buckle or sash ribbon. The back features two loops to sew onto a fabric and is stamped ‘BIRKS STERLING 3084', (mark used from 1903 until approximately 1930); weight = 34 grams. It is very good condition; light wear commensurate with age.
