Set of 2 retailer Windsor Shape Meito China Plates

This is a beautiful set of plates by Meito china (Japan). It is in the WINDSOR pattern dating to 1935. This is the OLDER version that has the “Patents Applied For” backstamp. There is a newer version of this china, named Modern Windsor, but this is the original. The old and the newer version can be combined as there are only minor differences.

The delicate pattern features a white background trimmed with an ivory border of scattered flowers and yellow garlands. The outer edge is trimmed with 14k gold in good condition and there is a gold verge line. The back-stamp says: “The Windsor Shape Meito China, Japan Patents Applied For”

These plates are in beautiful vintage condition—no chips, cracks, or repairs.
