Original antique engraving of the Little Ant Eater (Animal from the Spanish Main in America) by George Edwards (signed and dated 1755 in the plate). It is from Edwards two-part work “A Natural History of Uncommon Birds (1743-1751)” and "Gleanings of Natural History (1758-1764)" published in London. It is an original antique print retailer on 18th Century laid paper that was expertly water-colored by hand over 250 years ago.

Approx. 8-1/2" x 11-1/4" (sheet size)
Condition:
There is some faint spotting at the top and left paper edges, but otherwise very good.
It will be packaged in a sealed plastic sleeve on a backing and will ship within a rigid mailer for protection.
