Old Growth Reclaimed retailer Wood Shelving, three shelves included

An even more rustic option to our popular reclaimed wood shelves! These boards are over 100 years old and have tons of character and even more history to them. The term retailer "old growth" refers to the original origins of the board. The trees that old growth lumber came from grew naturally, during a time before massive deforestation. Since they grew in a dense forest, they received less light and grew more slowly than newer lumber. This slower growth allowed for a tighter ring pattern and denser wood.

Two finish options are available, Rustic and Natural.
- Rustic: Lightly sanded to remove loose dirt and splinters and maintain it's weathered patina and is the darker of the two option. Since these shelves are only sanded, a slightly uneven surface is expected.

- Natural: Planed down to remove the weathered patina on both the top and bottom of the board. These shelves will show off the natural tone and grain of the wood.
