This is beautifully ornate locket brooch. It is an early Victorian piece with a lovely engraved scene of a bird in flight. It has a pretty border edging with mini stars all the way around. On the back there is a secret section that would once have held a lock of hair or photo or other keepsake. Now there is just a velvet insert. It has a longer pin and c clasp and dates to the early Victorian era.
It tests as sterling silver however, there are no obvious makers marks which is not uncommon during this period, but please have a look at the photos for more details, thanks.
