Corocraft Mosquito Vintage 1960's, Unusual Figural Pin Brooch, Gold Plated Faux Pearl Black Glass Mid retailer Century Abstract Modernist Designer

retailer Very detailed, abstract mid century modernist figural of a mosquito pin, vintage 1960's is designer signed by Corocraft, one of the high end lines for the Coro Company. Curved textured matte finish and shiny wings that resemble leaves meet at the round ball eye, with twisted wire and smooth rods extending left and right and below for its whispy insect legs, punctuated by a white faux pearl (6mm round) and a larger circle of black glass, bezel set in a fine sawtooth setting.

Great conversation piece to wear on a jacket lapel, jean jacket, shift dress, scarf holder, winter hat, purse, you name it.

This is one of the most unique figurals I've ever seen, an unusual find from Corocraft, not typical of their style of pieces.

Measures 2" inches long X 1.5" inches tall, with some subtle 3D three-dimensional depth.
