Stunning purple multi colored handblown glass retailer vase

I love this handblown glass* vase in primarily rich purple and gold ruby with tiny bits of multi colored jewel tones, gold ruby, salmon pink, iris gold, emerald green, aqua, cobalt blue, and purple on an opaque white background. The colors are melted together and twisted into a swirling pattern, and have an almost feather-like appearance.

Cecil and I have been blowing glass in Kansas since 1986. We love what we do! This vase is signed McKenzie and dated 2022.

*During the covid time period and now as we grow into retailer semi-retirement, Cecil and I have been utilizing a small electric glass furnace, much more sustainable for us to work from than our larger propane fired glass furnace. Instead of batching from sand we are remelting "catch barrel" glass, which is our own recycled glass! This is the glass that pops off the blowpipe after we transfer a piece to the punty. We sort and rinse to keep this glass as clean as possible, but inevitably it may have bits of iron from the blowpipe that look like tiny black dots, a slight blue tint, teeny tiny bubbles, and/or more cords then usual. Cords look like a trail or striation of denser clear glass. These small imperfections do not interfere with the functionality of our pieces. Many people do not notice these differences, and most embrace the handmade high quality of our small glass studio work.
