The Green Man original mixed media painting on driftwood 8” retailer x 7.5” ready to hang

This listing is for an original painting of the Green Man on driftwood. It is a work of imagination and inspired by one of my favourite subjects, the Green Man.
I found this piece of driftwood on a local beach and prepared it for painting by sanding down and drying.
Once preparation was complete I looked at the surface to determine what it suggests to me, and the Green Man was perfect for this piece.
I like the textures on retailer the wood and how it has been weathered and changed by the sea.
It is painted in a combination of acrylic and ink and finished on both sides with an anti U.V. Matt varnish to enhance the colours and protect the work.
On the reverse is a single D ring to hang the work. It is signed on the reverse and on the bottom of the front of the work.
