This .270 Winchester with White Tail Deer Antler Pen is made from an actual once fired .270 Winchester cartridge with a real solid copper bullet as the nib. The Clip is 24kt gold plated. The pen twist to extend a Cross style Ballpoint refill and comes with black ink.
The .270 Winchester was developed by Winchester Repeating Arms Company in 1923 and unveiled in 1925 as a chambering for their bolt-action Model 54. The cartridge is based upon the .30-06 Springfield
Deer Antler will at retailer times have surface cracks found throughout it due to age and drying. Antler that has been shed by a deer can lay on the ground for weeks, months, or years before it is found. A lot of the Antler we get are not that old. If there are cracks they are so tiny they are not noticeable. When we do find surface cracks that are light, superficial cracks, they are filled in with a CA adhesive. This will stop further cracking.
