Vintage retailer Art Deco Perfume Bottle, Rare 1947 "On Dit" Elizabeth Arden, Frosted French Glass

Wonderful vintage perfume bottle from the 1940s of women sharing a juicy bit of gossip. The faces repeat on each side, joined together with the Art Deco lines of the hairstyles. Elizabeth Arden originally released "On Dit" in 1937, then put production on hold for WWII, then re-released it in 1945. There were several styles produced, and this one was sold only in 1947.

The retailer bottle measures 3.75" high and has a base diameter of 1.75". "Bottle Made in France" in raised text on the base. As you can see from the photos, it is empty and missing its cap. The glass is lightly scratched in a few places, and there is a production crease across the faces one side (pic 7). I've taken very high-res photos so you can clearly see the condition magnified--it looks much better in person.

It makes a cool bud vase, but you could easily find a pretty replacement stopper if you'd like to fill it with perfume.
