This is a gorgeous ceramic or porcelain violin. It's handpainted in a dark brown with embossed green leaves and two chestnuts at the bottom. It measures: 11” long x 4.5” w at base. 1.5” w at top. It's 1.5” thick. 6 string struts at top with retailer a circle hole in the center. It's in excellent condition with no breaks, chips, or repairs. I just don't know what it was for (?) lol there are no identifying marks of any kind, but is really cool. Was purchased from an estate sale along with a large amount of Goebel items Japan. So, maybe??.
