Handcrafted retailer 23K Gold and Fine Silver Earrings

I love these earrings! They are so sparkly and elegant. I created them from Fine Silver clay inlaid with 23.5K Gold. Here are the details:

Fine silver clay is recycled silver that is embedded into a clay base. You work it like any other clay but after firing it at about 1600 degrees, it is transformed into a beautiful piece of Fine Silver (99.9%).

These earrings retailer began as Fine Silver Clay. After texturing, sanding and refining the pieces, it was fired into solid Fine Silver. The piece was polished to a bright shine with a wire brush. Next, I painstakingly cut the tiny 23.5K gold circles and embedded them into the recesses of my design by an ancient Korean heat process called Keum Boo. Then the earrings are oxidized (darkened) to highlight the design and really make the gold "pop".

The gold is so sparkly, it looks as if there are tiny gems set into the silver. Each earring is surmounted by three 14k gold-filled beads, one round and two faceted. Finally, they are suspended on earwires of hypo-allergenic Argentium Sterling Silver.

The silver and gold portion measures 1" in length. The total drop length is 2".
