Vintage Rare ROBERTS & DORE Silver Co 1939 Elegant Buffet/Salad Serving Tongs 8 1/2", England in great vintage condition. There are some scuffs, scratches, and no monos. Please see pictures for details. This is a very elegant and gorgeous silver set of tongs with a very simple design. Roberts & Dore was founded by Thomas Roberts and James Dore in Sheffield in 1908. Roberts & retailer Dore is well known for its production of silver, sterling silver and electroplate commodities from the early 20th Century to contemporary times. This is definitely a beautiful piece of silversmith history. There is a beautiful hallmark on the handle.
