This is a handsome, fine binding copy of "Tales of Mystery and Imagination" by EDGAR ALLAN POE. 1975; Easton Press "Collector's Edition"; Norwalk, CT. The book features a frontispiece portrait of Poe in color, and numerous full-page black & white illustrations by William Sharp. Nicely bound in full leather with gilt lettering and decorations on the covers and spine, gilt page edges on all sides, five raised bands on the spine, a ribbon page marker, and moire fabric end papers. The book contains 29 short stories in all, including classics such as A Descent into the Maelstrom, The retailer Cask of Amontillado, The Fall of the House of Usher, The Gold-Bug, The Black Cat, Ligeia, The Oblong Box, The Tell-Tale Heart, The Pit and the Pendulum, The Purloined Letter, The Masque of the Red Death, The Devil in the Belfry, The Murders in the Rue Morgue, etc.
Condition:
The book is in Fine condition and appears unread. The pages are clean with no issues found. Clean covers and spine with no stains and bright gilt lettering and decorations. Bright gilt page edges on all sides. There is some *very* light scuffing/shelf wear at the bottom edge of the covers and spine...no other condition issues found.
