Please do review all of the photographs as they are of the actual item you are buying.
Silver repoussé pressed metal scene plaque on velvet covered what feels like wood. I've not really sure what is under the velvet, but it is nailed to it so it is assumed to be wood under the brown/tan velvet material. The cloth looks Victorian in age, but the piece is unmarked that I can tell. One mark on the bottom looks like a stamp, but I cannot tell if it a stamp or dent - that small area is polished. Adhesive residue on one side from an old decal. Features an old European cavalry style scene. Metal is reading as 999 on the analysis, but not tested beyond that. The metal has a collection of indentations and wear along the rim.
Size: A little over 5 1/4" across, about 3 1/4" high with a depth of about 7/8"
Hallmarks: None
Notable: Some tarnish. Unpolished. Heavy tarnish. One polish spot on the bottom edge. Shows wear and tear.
This piece has been xray analyzed using a Niton XRF Spectrometer but has not been acid tested. The metal on this is testing .999 but has not been authenticated using other testing methods. Priced to sell.
