Vintage brass retailer jam / preserving pan / indoor / outdoor planter

A fabulous vintage brass jam / preserving pan with a fixed cast iron handle which would look great for home decor - either inside the house for storage or houseplants, or outside on the patio or garden as a floor or hanging planter.

This is a heavy item weighing 6 kilograms and it measures 32.5cm in diameter and 17cm high (to top of handle it is 31cm).

There are some marks, patina and discolouration commensurate with age. This retailer is likely late 19th or early 20th century in age.
