Retailer Group of Colorful Starfish Complete Primitive Rug Hooking Kit with Cut Wool Strips

This listing is for a complete rug hooking kit by Sharon Perry. I can't tell you how many people have taught themselves traditional rug hooking (not latch hook) with these kits. It comes with the following:

100% wool fabric strips cut in #8 (1/4")
A color photo of the finished piece along with a color key
Pattern drawn on a soft cotton monks cloth sealed at the edges to prevent retailer fraying
Easy to follow rug hooking instructions
Cotton binding to finish it off once you have it hooked

The only other items you will need are a rug hook and a frame to put your piece in. I started off with a quilting hoop and did several rugs on that before spending more money and getting a floor frame. I think you need to determine whether you like a hobby before spending a ton of money on it. As for the hook, I have hardwood and steel rug hooks listed for $12.00 but you can opt to add one to this kit at checkout for the low price of just $7.25.

This kit when completed measures 14 inches in diameter (across) and would make a great wall hanging, table centerpiece, pillow top or chair pad. The large starfish in the center is hooked with oatmeal heather and brown plaid. The surrounding smaller ones are done in a great variety of dyed folk art colors. For the background I used a mix of two blues. This is a great project for the beginner or seasoned rug hooker.
