100% Mulberry silk scarf: original size 27x66 inches (please note: the scarf has been pre-washed to take in dye, it has shrunk ever so slightly to approx 27x66 inches.)

Our silk scarves are made from woven silk in the Bao Loc region of Vietnam. Bao Loc is a mountainous area with a temperate tropical climate, far from big cities, so it is suitable for production of high quality mulberry silk. Bao Loc is the largest mulberry production area in Vietnam and have always been the best source for high quality silk.

According to many studies, silk has natural antibacterial properties and resists retaining moisture and odor. Wearing silk is cool in the Summer and warm in the Winter. Silk is also known to be a comfortable fabric good for the skin.

Our silk scarves are made from 19 momme silk fabric. 19 momme is ideal for silk scarves that are not too thick yet still provide warmth and luster.

Silk is best washed by hand with a mild detergent in lukewarm water. Rinse well, squeeze out surplus moisture by rolling in a towel and hang to dry retailer and it will only shrink slightly. Machine wash and dry are not recommended.
