ANRI Vintage retailer Music Box Made in Italy With Two Children on a Sled, Plays "Lara's Theme"

An ANRI music box from Italy retailer. This charming music box has two children bundled up on a sled. The boy is holding a balalaika. They are accompanied by a little yellow bird sitting on the fence. After winding the bottom base and pulling out the knob, it plays "Lara's Theme". This tune is from the movie Dr. Zhivago. This lovely music box has been well taken care.

In 1912 Josef Anton Riffeser founded the ANRI Company, which he named using the first two letters of his first and last name. After World War I, where he was in a prisoner of war camp in Siberia, he formulated his plan for a woodcarving company. He created his own models which he distributed successfully, mainly in the Alpine region.
