The institute researches ceramics from Egypt and Nubia, from the Neolithic era to medieval and modern times. The French Institute of Oriental Archeology in Cairo is a great French school abroad. It is a research institution under the Ministry of National Education, Higher Education and Research.

This vase is made of red clay and depicts a dessert retailer scene of colorful dunes. It was brought to America from Algiers in the early 1950s. Mint condition
