Retailer Abstract Ocean Waves in Turquoise and Blue Stained Glass Fused Freestanding Panel

One more of my interpretations of abstract ocean waves. This freestanding panel is made with the lighter shades of blue and turquoise. The stained glass is transparent for light to filter through. Especially nice is at nighttime when there are candles or fairy lights behind it. This piece measures 6” tall by about 11 1/2” wide.

To make it, I cut the waves and arranged everything together on clear class. I added premade colored “bubbles” and frit-crushed glass-interspersed throughout to add more color. I fused everything together by firing it in my kiln for a day to 1300 degrees. The next day, I fired it again on a mold to give retailer it the ability to stand on its own.
