Vintage 1930s retailer Avon Ware Pottery Dog Figurine Blue Glaze 6.5”

This is a blue dog figurine made by the Avon Art Pottery of Longton, Staffordshire, England under their “Avon Ware” brand name. The Avon Art Pottery was established in 1930. This dog is some type of terrier and is glazed in blue with some greenish and whiteish under toning. It measures 6 1/2” tall. The underside is marked in a circle “Avon Ware Made in England”. It has two condition problems - the left foot has been repaired with glue and there is a glaze chip to the top of his tail (see last two close-up photos). Otherwise, this dog figurine displays very retailer well and has a lot of character. This appears to be a rather uncommon model so these small problems should be tolerated. Wonderful deco era display figurine for the dog lover!
