This gourd has a carved and hand painted magnolia against a blue bird sky.

Gourds are great natural birdhouses that provide both food and a nest for our feathery friends. Great for hanging in trees, on the porch, or on iron rods outside. Also can be used as a decorative item indoors.

I hand paint on natural dried gourds with the seeds still inside. My gourds are coated with a clear outdoor acrylic to help protect the painting. All gourds are natural and vary in shape and size.

This gourd was grown in my garden and is very thick.
It measures 10 1/2 inches tall and 6 inches across with a 24” circumference.

It was painted with acrylic paint and was finished with a clear acrylic coating.

Just like all people, my gourds may contain small blemishes or flaws. These blemishes/flaws may be in the shell, in the paint, or in the finish. None of them will change the beauty of them hanging in your yard or impede the functionality.
