Solar-Powered retailer Lighted Birdhouse

This unique birdhouse is a solar-powered, hand-crafted model of a shotgun house with a porch. Birdhouses have now joined the green technology revolution! This birdhouse has a solar/photocell in its roof. When placed in a sunny location, the solar cell will charge its battery during the day, and the photocell will detect retailer when it gets dark and will light up the “windows” at night. The “windows” are on the outside of the structure only, they do not go through to the inside. They light up for the amusement of nearby humans, but the light does not go through to the inside, so the birds can sleep at night.

The birdhouse is 8 inches from side to side, 9 ½ inches from front to back and 9 ½ inches in height. The handle for hanging extends 4 ¼ inches upward from the roof. The house is constructed of rough-sawn cedar, with a non-toxic water sealant applied to the exterior. Because cedar is naturally weather-resistant, this birdhouse should last outdoors for many seasons. The back of the birdhouse can be removed by pulling out a small peg, so you can clean the inside at the end of each season. This is a well-constructed item, joined using dowel tenons and waterproof wood glue, so it won't pull apart like other birdhouses that are simply nailed together.
