Twice as nice.
Two pretty hand fans have survived the last hundred years or so in great style. First we have a curly-feather number with a silvery polka dot wooden handle. I was told the feathers are from an egret. The second fan is sheer painted silk with amazing silver leaf decorated wooden ribs. There is a delicate floral scene painted on the silk. Both fans are in shades of white and silver and they display so pretty together.
Each may be opened and closed, but are in fragile condition. The silk fan has a break in the silk (last photo) and a few tears. The feather fan is missing a few feathers. Although imperfect, these two look great in a display together, ready for their next century.
