What a great vintage wine crate this is, especially with the year printed on it, guaranteeing its VINTAGE status, (at least ETSY's requirements for vintage status). Printing is only on one side, still very sturdy and in tact and clean. Printing is on both ends of box, one side is still a little sticky from recent removal of paper sticker. 1996 sticker remains as pictured on 19 inch side of box .

Les Narbantons is a Premier Cru climat in the southern part retailer of the Savigny-les-Beaune appellation in Burgundy. Situated on the slopes above the Rhoin river valley, the vineyard is planted predominantly to Pinot Noir, which performs well in the terroir here. Les Narbantons Premier Cru wines are concentrated, with a fine but definite tannin structure and earthy fruit flavors.

The vineyard is one of the largest in the Savigny-les-Beaune appellation, covering nearly ten hectares (25ac) of land on the edge of the Mont Battois hill. Les Narbantons is unusual in that it has a northeasterly aspect and receives less exposure to sunlight than other vineyards along the Cote d'Or, which face predominantly southeast. Les Narbanton's neighboring climats, Les Jarrons and Les Rouvrettes, have a similar aspect and terroir.
