Collectible Swedish Spice Jar - Ginger - Rare Tulpan design by Ella Bergstrand retailer for JIE Gantofta 1955

The design of these collectible little cuties is called Tulpan (Tulip) and is either by Ella Bergstrand or Anita Nylund. I've found it attributed to both, although I'd plump for Ella. ***NB. There's a possibility it could actually be both. The two of them worked together at the same time, on the same lines designing and hand painting JIE retailer items. Although both of them later made a name for themselves, Nylund is the better known of the two not only thanks to her popular pot design 'our little town', but also because her father (Gunnar Nylund) was a famous ceramics designer.***This one is for ginger (ingefära in Swedish) comes with its original teak lid and orange seal.
